Canon Living Wall

Having plants in the workplace helps workers recover from stress and tiredness, reduces the presence of VOCs and air-bourn bacteria and increases productivity and creativity. These somewhat surprising findings have been arrived at though studies happening all over the world and summarised in Planet Ark's National Tree Day report titled Valuing Trees - What Is Nature Worth?
The research shows there are many benefits of having nature in the workplace. Workers who can see nature from their workspace have less sick days, are more creative, are happier and more content.
The Canon Cartridge Wall
Which is why the Planet Ark team is so impressed with Canon Australia's living wall. In 2014, when Canon moved into a new building in Sydney, they worked with PTID to develop a living wall made from eWood.
eWood is the patented technology that was invented by Close the Loop to provide an end use for the complicated mixed plastics that are a result of printer cartridge recycling. The Living Wall is made up on around 1,260 recycled Canon cartridges and brings together all the good things about recycling as well as the good things about bringing nature into the workplace.
