Printer cartridges are made up of a complex combination of plastics, metals, foam, ink and toner.  Throwing them into landfill represents a waste of resources and contributes to the growing problem of electronic waste. By recycling your cartridges you are helping to reduce this waste.

There are many environmental benefits from recycling your cartridges.

What can be recycled?

All inkjet cartridges, toner cartridges and toner bottles from participating brands can be placed in the Cartridges 4 Planet Ark box.

Where can I recycle?

Find your nearest participating outlet with the special Cartridges 4 Planet Ark boxes.

What happens to the cartridges?

All of the printer cartridges collected will be returned to Close the Loop® where they will be sorted and processed.

How do cartridges become road surfaces?

Low-carbon road surface, TonerPlas™ and TonerPaveTM, are two of the products manufactured using recycled printer cartridges.

What is eWood and Lousy Ink?

Lousy Ink, an artists ink and eWood®, a timber replacement product are two of the products manufactured using recycled printer cartridges.
