Special collection scheme for flood-damaged ink cartridges

Specific Officeworks outlets in Queensland are accepting bulk cartridges deliveries until February 28 so that businesses, in particular, can drop off damaged printer cartridge supplies for recycling.

All types and brands of printer cartridges in any condition will be accepted and there is no need to remove them from their water-damaged packaging.  Even if the cartridges are damaged, the plastics and metals used to make the cartridges can be recovered and used again.

By recycling water-damaged cartridges, rather than sending them to the tip, people will be helping local recycling businesses as well as reducing the already significant environmental damage caused by the floods.

Households can continue to recycle printer cartridges throughout the year though the ‘Cartridges 4 Planet Ark’ green retail box in-store.
